VOCO Structur 3

Structur 3 is a self-curing crown and bridge material from VOCO. It is used for the quick fabrication of high-quality provisional crowns and bridges, as well as inlays, onlays, partial crowns, veneers and temporary posts. Long-term temporaries can also be constructed using Structur 3. An additional indication is the lining of pre-fabricated provisional crowns made from composite material, polycarbonate or metal. Structur 3 possesses extraordinary stability and highly aesthetic properties and is as quick as it is easy to process.

Application of Structur 3 could not be more ideal. The material is quick and easy to process. Thanks to its 1:1 mixing system Structur 3 can be applied into the impression without mixing errors and in a time-saving manner. The intraoral setting time is only 45 seconds. The temporary can then be effortlessly removed as it is still slightly elastic at that stage. Structur 3 sets completely within just four minutes from commencement of mixing. After the inhibition layer has been removed with a cloth soaked in alcohol, the temporary immediately, and without needing to be polished, exhibits a toothlike lustre.

Restorations made from Structur 3 are highly aesthetic and their natural gloss and fluorescence come very close to those of the final restoration. This is also helped by the wide range of shades. Structur 3 in the cartridge is available in eight VITA shades (A1, A2, A3, A3.5, B1, B3, C2, BL). Moreover, Structur 3 in the practical QuickMix syringe is on offer in four shades (A1, A2, A3, B1). This syringe is suitable in particular for smaller temporaries or for corrections, where only small amounts of the material are required at a time. In combination with the universal composite GrandioSO Flow temporaries can be further individualised.

Provisional restorations need to be strong and stable. It is their task to protect the prepared tooth and to ensure that masticatory functions are not impaired. The material needs to withstand masticatory loads throughout the entire wear time. This also applies to delicate structures of the restoration, such as crown margins which thin towards the edge. Structur 3 meets these requirements in all areas. Its compressive strength of over 500 MPa and a very high fracture strength make Structur 3 the basis for lastingly strong and stable temporaries. Furthermore, the smooth surface of Structur 3 provides little opportunity for particles to adhere to it and thus for coffee, tea, nicotine etc. to cause discolouration.

In its product properties, Structur 3 thus combines three crucial characteristics that users as well as patients consider essential with regard to temporaries.
