SomnoDent is the Gold Standard in Mandibular Advancement Splints that are used to treat Obstructive Sleep Apnea (OSA).
The SomnoDent Edent is one of 3 different models available. All SomnoDents have a life expectancy of between 3-5 years, and come with a 2 year warranty against manufacturing defaults (conditions apply).
The SomnoDent Edent is designed for either upper edentulous or completely edentulous patients. The Edent and Edent Implant can be made from either SMH BFlex or acrylic materials. The Edent upper splint covers the palate in the same way as a full upper denture secured by suction and made to oppose a lower splint. Due to the unique two piece coupling mechanism there is no downward pull on the upper splint. This advantage allows edentulous patients to enjoy the benefits of a SomnoDent. For completely edentulous patients, SomnoMed recommends the Edent implant.
