Hu-Friedy Interchangeable Periotomes

Periotomes facilitate removal of teeth by cutting the periodontal ligament with minimal damage to the alveolar bone during atraumatic extractions. Periotomes that are dull or worn do not effectively sever the periodontal ligament from the root surface of the tooth, causing more force to be used with a forcep and potential damage to the alveolar bone. Hu-Friedy’s Interchangeable Periotome features four thin, sharp interchangeable blades for severing the periodontal ligament. The blades are securely positioned in the handle and removable for easy cleaning, care and replacement.
