Enamelast Fluoride Varnish
New Enamelast from Ultradent Products is a flavoured (Walterberry i.e. strawberry/amaretto), xylitol-sweetened, 5% sodium fluoride varnish in a resin carrier which provides mechanical occlusion of the dentinal tubules to also treat hypersensitivity. Enamelast features a silky texture that appears nearly invisible against the teeth and the varnish has an adhesion-promoting agent that enhances retention. For orthodontic patients, Enamelast facilitates longer, sustained fluoride release when applied to teeth previously treated with a sealant. Enamelast comes in two delivery options: unit-dose blister packs, or Ultradent’s syringe and tip application. It has a pH of 3.9 and a 24-month shelf life.
