Paul Suni has had a long history developing sensors for other companies and has now set up his own privately owned company. Their manufacturing facility is in the heart of Silicon Valley and uniquely they manufacture their own CCD and CMOS chips. The Dr Suni Plus system uses a CCD sensor without the need for a fibre-optic layer not only giving enhanced resolution but making it the thinnest sensor available in the world today. The system can also be used with existing imaging software from most 3rd party companies allowing simple upgrade or replacement of obsolete equipment without the need to learn new software or transfer thousands of images.
