Sirona Dental Systems has launched a new model in its CEREC Omnicam range, entitled the CEREC AF. Short for “Acquisition Flex”, CEREC AF separates the CEREC Omnicam from the PC and monitor, offering greater flexibility and mobility. By separating the CEREC Omnicam from the PC, it can easily be carried from one treatment room to another, making it an ideal solution for a group practice with treatment rooms on several floors or in several locations and in practices where space is at a premium. CEREC Omnicam is connected to the Sirona desktop PC in the treatment room and operation can then be via the PC’s monitor, a tablet, or your treatment center monitor. You can also operate the software via a tablet. Sirona continues to develop both its flagship CEREC AC and CEREC AF in unison with many new features announced at IDS 2015 for orthodontics, implantology and restorative dentistry.
