Cav-Hycal is a light curing calcium hydroxide cavity liner. It is monophase, radiopaque and has a setting time (under a halogen lamp) of < 55s. It has a depth of polymerization (EN 24 049) of 4-6mm; a resistance to compression of 111 - 135MPa; and a resistance to diametric traction of 29 - 44MPa. Cav-Hycal has a pH (after 2h in aqueous solution) or 11 - 11.5. It is insoluble and exhibits no resorption after polymerization.
