Ivoclar Vivadent has launched Adhese Universal, a new single-component, light-cured universal adhesive for direct and indirect bonding procedures. Adhese Universal features compatibility with all etching techniques: self-etch, selective enamel-etch and total-etch. VivaPen delivery ensures fast and convenient application of the adhesive directly in the patient’s mouth. Adhese Universal can be used for direct and indirect bonding procedures. The material’s low film thickness minimizes the risk of fitting inaccuracies after cementation. No dual-cure activator is required for the cementation of indirect restorations. Adhese Universal combines hydrophilic and hydrophobic properties. Since Adhese Universal is moderately acidic, it is compatible with any etching technique (self-etch, selective-enamel etch or total-etch) and ensures an optimum bond between the tooth structure and the dental restorative. Available in Vivapen 2ml (190 applications) or bottle 5g delivery.

Reliable adhesion due wet or dry
Adhese Universal
31 Jan 2016 | Spectrum
The clinical success of an adhesive often depends on the technique of the clinician. Total-etch adhesives generally require a "wet bonding" technique. Here the adhesive should be applied onto etched dentin that is slightly moist to avoid desiccation. How wet or dry the dentin should be in order to achieve sufficient bond strength is often very chal...
Ideal solution for all-ceramic restorations
Monobond® Etch & Prime
31 May 2015 | Clinical Techniques
Monobond® Etch & Prime is the first self-etching glass-ceramic primer in the world and extends the range of Ivoclar Vivadent luting systems for all-ceramic restorations. Correct conditioning of the restoration bonding surface is a crucial part of the adhesive luting process. Conventionally, glass-ceramic restorations are conditioned by etching th...

31 May 2015 | Clinical Excellence
Until recently, the incremental layering technique has been considered the gold standard for the application of light-curing composites.1 Conventional composites are normally applied in individual increments of a maximum of no more than 2 mm due to their polymerization properties and limits on curing depth. The individual increments are polymerized...
