Acebase™ is a new millable material made from Acetal Resin. Acetal resin is very strong, monomer free, resists wear and fracturing and is quite flexible. These characteristics make it an ideal material for clasps for partial dentures, single pressed unilateral partial dentures, partial denture frameworks, provisional crowns and bridges, occlusal splints and even implant abutments. Acetal resins resist occlusal wear and are well-suited for maintaining vertical dimension during provisional restorative therapy. Acebase is available in 98 mm stepped disks to suit a large range of milling machines and various common vita shades.
