A-dec 500 Stool

Spurred on by international statistics on musculoskeletal disorders among dental professionals, A-dec has redesigned its already ergonomically adjustable A-dec 500 dentist and assistant’s stools to further improve work posture and aid blood circulation. Divided into four individual performance zones, the design allows good blood flow to the legs, while setting up the lower lumbar area for a proper, healthy torso posture all day long. Zone 1 features flexible springs that provide vertical support for sit bones; Zone 2 is designed to provide extra soft thigh support that minimizes blood flow restriction and maximizes comfort; Zone 3 is a slip prevention pommel that positions the hips above the knees with a comfortable, pelvis-forward tilt (athletic stance) and places the lumbar area of the back in a healthy, balanced posture; and Zone 4 provides a structural outer edge to ensure proper support for the softer tissue to provide all-day comfort and reduce "hot spots".
