Collagen Matrix, Inc. is a privately-held company founded in 1997 specializing in innovative, collagen- and mineral-based technology for applications in tissue repair and regeneration.

Collagen Matrix is headquartered in Oakland, New Jersey, and has two manufacturing facilities (Oakland and Franklin Lakes, New Jersey), a quality control laboratory, a research and development laboratory and warehouse spaces. The Company is an FDA registered manufacturer with a quality system that is in compliance with the FDA Quality System Regulations and certified to ISO 13485.

The management team and all employees are committed to the manufacture of high quality products for treating disease or injury. Collagen Matrix’s innovative scientific research is evidenced by its success in receiving numerous research grants from the National Institutes of Health. Since the Company’s inception, over $8 million in grant money has been awarded to Collagen Matrix.

The sales of our first product, a resorabable collagen membrane for use in oral surgery, have increased steadily each year since its launch in 2001. The resorbable collagen membrane product is now considered by many in the field to be the premier collagen membrane for treatment of periodontal disease and for use in dental implant, bone defect and ridge augmentation procedures.

The company’s growth has been steady and significant with the launch of products focused on neurosurgery such as NeuroMatrix™ and Neuroflex™ Collagen Nerve Cuffs for the treatment of severed peripheral nerves and NeuroMend™ Collagen Nerve Wrap for the treatment of crushed, stretched, partially-severed or compressed peripheral nerves and DuraMatrix™ Collagen Dura Substitute Membrane for the repair of dural mater. Additional products that were developed are OssiPatch™ Collagen Bone Healing Protective Sheet for bone repair procedures, a family of dental wound dressings, NuOss™ Anorganic Bone Mineral, as well as several additional products for chronic and surgical wound management.

The recent worldwide launches of our new products OssiMend™ Bone Graft Matrix, OssiMend™ Putty Bone Graft Matrix, OssiGuide™ Cancellous Granules, SynOss™ Synthetic Bone Graft Material, TenoMend™ Collagen Tendon Wrap, and DuraMatrix-Onlay™ Conformable Collagen Dura Substitute Membrane have expanded our technology within the areas of orthopaedic/spine surgery and neurosurgery for tissue repair and regeneration. The increase in Collagen Matrix's product portfolio has led to the addition of the 28,000 SF Oakland manufacturing facility and corporate headquarters and to the significant expansion and renovation of the Franklin Lakes facility to accommodate the rapid growth.

Collagen Matrix continues its focus in three healthcare fields: Oral/Maxillofacial surgery, Neurosurgery and Orthopaedic/Spine surgery. A pipeline of products has been indentified for each area to expand on our current product portfolio in the years to come.
