The Zirkonzahn Company was founded in 2003 and has its headquarters in the heart of the Alps in Italy. The business is owned by Enrico Steger, MDT, father of Prettau® zirconia and the Prettau Bridge (14-unit, monolithic full arch bridge made of Prettau zirconia), who now runs the company together with his son Julian Steger, also an MDT.
What started as a one-person business is now a workplace for almost 300 employees all over the world, in various branch offices and training centres. The company's goal is to support dental technicians and dentists in their professional growth and collaboration through a smooth and smart workflow from A to Z, for the good of the patient.
The company conceives and produces in-house - everything that is needed for a case manufacture: dental materials such as zirconia (Prettau line), resins and metals, digital patient diagnostic tools to transfer the patient's individual reference data 1:1 into the software with no loss of information, CAD/CAM systems, furnaces, colouring liquids, burs and a wide range of implant prosthetic components available for more than 100 implant systems.
Two of the firm's best "signature products" are the Zirkonzahn School ("Die Zirkonzahn Schule") and Zirkonzahn.Support. The Zirkonzahn School is an exhaustive educational programme to pass on knowledge to the customers and to help them make best use of their CAD/CAM systems and materials, finding a perfect individual workflow. With Zirkonzahn.Support, on the other hand, customers can benefit from comprehensive technical, dental technical and methodological assistance with extremely short response times. For Australian customers, the support service is provided by the dedicated Support Team at the company's headquarters in Italy and by Zirkonzahn's local partner in Australia.
