Zfx Australia has launched its range of milled IPS e.max products in Australia. According to the company, it is the first and currently the only 5-axis milling centre in Australia and New Zealand to offer a full range of indications for milled IPS e.max CAD including inlays, onlays and veneers as well as fully anatomic and cutback crowns. All IPS e.max CAD shades are available for every indication.
"After having great success milling IPS e.max CAD in Europe for well over a year, Zfx has finally brought this extensive expertise and knowledge to its operations down under," said Gary Yeung, principal of Zfx Australia. "Due to the vast distances from Europe, it was a logical and inevitable decision for Zfx Australia to take on the capacity to mill IPS e.max CAD products for the local market. Zfx aims to give our customers the best of both worlds. To benefit from all the experience, knowledge, research and development of an established German milling system, without having to sacrifice any of the usual benefits of a local milling service, such as a more personalized service, vastly superior technical and logistical support, along with shorter and more reliable turnaround times."
According to Mr Yeung, one of the reasons behind Zfx's successful milling of IPS e.max is their unique and patented e.max block holding system that allows full utilization of the milling machine's 5-axis milling capability.
"The result is a product with a precision fit and finish never before seen in a milled IPS e.max CAD product," he said. "Regular IPS e.max CAD blocks are fitted to this holding system at a specialized Zfx production facility in Europe where they are prepared under a controlled environment to ensure high standards of quality and consistency. From this facility, the blocks are then air freighted directly to all accredited Zfx milling centres around the world, including the milling centre in Sydney.
"The unique combination of strength and aesthetics provided by IPS e.max CAD makes it an ideal material for a wide variety of indications and Zfx is proud to offer this material option, on top of its existing range of zirconia, PMMA and metal options that make up the rest of the materials available in our product range."
