Zfx and Ivoclar Vivadent Australia has announced that Zfx Australia is now a verified Ivoclar Vivadent Authorized Milling Centre (AMC). This achievement means that Zfx Australia's clients now both have access to Ivoclar Vivadent's full range of sought after CAD/CAM materials like IPS e.max CAD, IPS Empress CAD and Telio CAD and that restorations milled in these materials by Zfx are to the prescribed standards set by the manufacturer.
"There are many organisations that would like to be an Ivoclar Vivadent Authorized Milling Centre," said Ivoclar Vivadent Australia Marketing Manager, Ashley Frischkorn. "However, it is not as easy as just buying a mill and becoming proficient in producing restorations. That is part of it of course, but there are also levels of customer service and support that must be met and a range of other criteria.
"We have a long history in CAD/CAM materials and now, with the acquisition of Wieland, in CAD/CAM equipment. Our Authorized Milling Centre program ensures that our materials transition from the raw state into finished restorations with the highest level of quality and precision.
"The process is, in essence, designed to ensure the quality and consistency of the customer experience at every level, not just the milled material."
Under specific instructions from Ivoclar HQ in Lichtenstein, Zfx Australia underwent a rigorous verification and testing protocol which involved the milling of dozens of samples that were sent directly to Ivoclar's R&D centre for microscopic scrutiny and verification, checking for milling accuracy, degree of fit and finish and consistency and repeatability of quality levels.
"Needless to say, Zfx Australia passed the validation process with flying colours," Mr Frischkorn said. "As an AMC, all Ivoclar Vivadent products provided by Zfx Australia are fully backed and supported by Ivoclar Vivadent along with the usual five year warranty that accompanies all certified Zfx milled products."
Based in the Sydney suburb of Lane Cove, Zfx Australia manufactures crowns, bridges, inlays, onlays, veneers, abutments, implant bridges and implant bars in a range of materials including zirconia, high translucency zirconia, titanium, CoCr, PMMA, resin nano ceramic, burnout plastic and wax. And now, as an Ivoclar Vivadent Authorised Milling Centre, IPS e.max CAD lithium disilicate glass ceramic and IPS empress CAD leucite-reinforced glass-ceramic together with Telio CAD for the production of long term temporaries have been officially added to their range.
Dental laboratories with open 3Shape scanners can easily connect with the Zfx Australia Milling Centre directly or via the Dental Axess Manufacturing Portal. Zfx Australia also supply 3D scanning equipment and design software under its own brand.
