West Coast Dental Depot passes milestone

Perth's longest established A-dec dealer, West Coast Dental Depot, has passed a major milestone, celebrating 21 years in the dental equipment industry. The landmark business has provided quality A-dec dental equipment to Perth's dental profession since the business opened in 1991 from its current Belmont address at 17A Wheeler Street.

The business was originally founded and operated by Steve Young together with his father, Gary, and brother, Craig, which gave WA dentists direct access to quality A-dec equipment. Craig Young went on to become an A-dec territory manager and is now the General Manager of A-dec Australia.

Today, West Coast Dental Depot is owned and operated by Greg and Linda James and continues the tradition of exceptional sales and service established more than 20 years ago.

The ability of West Coast Dental to cater to the needs of local dentists was further enhanced in 2013 when it secured the services of former A-dec Technical Manager, Mark Slater. Mark joined the company in March 2013 as Equipment and Projects Manager and is busy with some major projects and supporting existing customers.

West Coast Dental Director, Greg James, said he was delighted to have such highly qualified and experienced A-dec-trained professionals to help look after West Coast Dental's many Western Australian customers.

The West Coast Dental team also includes Co-Director, Linda James; new Equipment Sales Specialist, Zoe Clearwater; Equipment Sales Assistant, Denise Meakins; Customer Service Manager, Karen Angel; Service Technician, Greg Stapleton; Steriliser and Imaging Technician, Leon Rustam; together with Warehouse Controller, Richard Biegel.

Mr James said the strong emphasis on service by the entire West Coast Dental Team and the quality reputation of A-dec and its supply partners was the reason behind West Coast's continued success.

"A-dec is the very foundation of this business and is the mainstay of our equipment offering, together with dental handpieces and sterilization solutions from A-dec's preferred partner, W&H, along with Satelec scalers and curing lights and digital imaging products from Acteon.

"We also supply other brands to give dentists access to all the equipment needed to set up their practices including Cattani plant room solutions and can offer access to financing through Investec, Medfin and other channels to those establishing or upgrading their practices."

West Coast works with leading design companies and architects and has recently been involved in some landmark projects in W.A. including installing four new A-dec 500 chair/units in a new Triage Clinic at the Oral Health Centre of Western Australia (next to the new Children's Hospital) and supplying equipment to some of the largest WA dental providers including Lifecare Dental, Perth, as well as scores of private dentists and specialists across the state.
