Car 8, aka The Karate Kids, would like to thank those in the dental industry who sponsored them on the Variety Club Bash 2007.
The sponsors generously gave money to help underprivileged and disabled children in Victoria.
"When I started this fundraising project, as a Dental Prosthetist I hoped that our industry would get behind us - and they did!" said Jason McKenzie.
"We achieved a Silver Fundraising Award in our first year thanks to the generous support of Dentsply, Durodent, Yarra Valley Partial Prosthetics, Henry Schein Halas, Doncaster Dental, Dent I Dent, Adam Richardson Ceramist, Ultimate Dental and Esplanade Dental Clinic."
As a general rule, The Bash goes off the beaten track and stops as much as possible to help schools and needy children along the way.
"In my short time with Variety I have seen some amazing stories of help given to children and some amazing generosity from companies and individuals alike. This year's Bash raised $1.4 million."
The Karate Kids aim for next year is to achieve a Gold Award for fundraising so if you can help please contact me, Jason McKenzie on (03) 9850-6500. No donation is too small or too big and all are
tax deductible!
