Pearl Group and Body Logic Resources are presenting a series of one-day seminars in February covering the diagnosis and treatment of sleep disorders.
The seminars will feature Dr Edward Spiegel and Dr Steven Olmos, two leading authorities in the areas of oral appliance therapy for sleep disorders and snoring. Dr Spiegel is board certified in oral appliance therapy for the treatment of snoring/sleep apnoea by the America Academy of Sleep Medicine (AASM) and is Founder of the American Academy of Craniofacial Pain (AACP). Dr Olmos is certified in the treatment of sleep disorders by the American Academy of Sleep Disorders, Diplomate American Academy of Pain Management and the American Academy of Craniofacial Pain.
The seminars will be held in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane and this first joint venture between Pearl and Body Logic will highlight the high-end specialist services of both organisations and leverage their core business activities.
As one of Australia's leading dental laboratory services companies, Pearl Group prides itself on providing market leading services and the highest standard of craftsmanship. Pearl is also dedicated to providing additional value to traditional dental laboratory services through involvement in these seminars.
"The conduct and co-promotion of these seminars further underlines our commitment to the betterment of the industry. It is also an opportunity for us to match our high-end services with the highest quality seminars and speakers in the industry," said Dr Alan Patterson, Managing Director at Pearl (pictured right). "We are dedicated to providing further value for dentists and these seminars can lead to a very exciting and rewarding practice for any dental professional. Improving the quality of someone's life with an oral appliance can significantly alter a practitioner's perspective on health care delivery."
Body Logic Resources Managing Director Lisa McAsey (pictured left), said that these seminars are an ideal opportunity for dentists to gain a better understanding of the appliances available to treat sleep disorders.
"Currently, there are over 70 different types of oral appliances available to treat sleep disordered breathing. For many, this can be overwhelming so these courses are designed to assist dentists in recognising and identifying the most appropriate appliances to achieve success for each individual patient."
Dr Patterson said that the alliance with Body Logic is a great step forward in providing the industry with the latest information and education in sleep disorder treatment.
"We are excited to be working with Body Logic Resources. Their state of the art computer diagnostic equipment combined with our joint commitment to the highest standard of dental education should provide our customers with a greater knowledge of appliance choice and design," he said.
