The TENEO treatment center from Sirona: A true endodontics expert

Treatment centers by Sirona are renowned for optimum comfort and maximum treatment efficiency. To optimize treatment workflows, the TENEO treatment center includes many integrated functions, which normally require additional devices, a foot control or special treatment rooms.

The innovation leader in the dental industry, Sirona, has consistently implemented the concept of digital integration for TENEO. It is equipped with an array of special features for endodontics and implantology to provide an optimized, ergonomic workflow. For example, the endodontics function includes a comprehensive file library, and can accept the addition of an ApexLocator.

New options have made TENEO a real "endo expert": Never before have the reciprocal file systems from VDW (RECIPROC®) and Dentsply Maillefer (WAVEONE®) been integrated in a treatment center's file library. This new function is also displayed in the TENEO user interface and can be easily controlled with the center foot control. Another decisive advantage is that it is no longer necessary to spend valuable time setting up and cleaning another tabletop unit. This helps to make the treatment workflow efficient and smooth. The workflow is further enhanced with a handy, hygienic holder for the ApexLocator right at the dentist element.

The new ENDO contra-angle handpiece with LED light can optionally be included with the treatment center. This enables improved visibility of the treatment area and further enhances operator confidence.

Treatment center as a highly integrated system

The integrated USB interface enables technological innovations of the future to be retrofitted as well, such as additional file libraries and the installation of software updates. Also remote diagnostics can be run to carry out an error analysis if a fault should arise.

The new support arm system, presented here for the first time, is incorporated seamlessly in the overall profile of the treatment center and links several other systems directly to the treatment center, for example, besides adapting a 22" HD monitor (SIVISION), it can be used to integrate the HELIODENTPLUS intraoral x-ray tube assembly on the light support column. The dentist benefits from optimized, efficient treatment workflows. Moreover, the new support arm system is easy to clean due to its closed, smooth surfaces and fully enclosed wiring. In this way, the new system also benefits the support staff.

Increased comfort – for patient and dental operator

Besides the confidence of knowing that they are in good hands with a skilled dentist, comfort is also important to patients. They want to be able to recline comfortably and relax – especially for longer treatment sessions. TENEO offers the best possible conditions for this. The chair itself already offers exceptional comfort when reclining, and with the optional Lounge upholstery, patients could almost forget that they are in the dentist's chair.

At the IDS, even more new features will be presented. The classic chair positions can be stored for individual patients and saved to the electronic patient index card. This means that patients can immediately assume the position optimized for their treatment, the treatment positions are preprogrammed to suit their requirements precisely.

The key to optimum patient positioning from the dentist's point of view is the headrest. For TENEO, the headrest can be adjusted not only to the patient's height, it can also be tilted steplessly. So patients can relax, even during prolonged treatment sessions, while the headrest supports their head and holds it steady in the optimum position for treatment access and good visibility.

Digitization for even great future proofing
