The International Team for Implantology (ITI), a leading academic organization dedicated to the promotion of evidence-based education and research in the field of implant dentistry, invites all researchers who have demonstrated new findings in implant dentistry and related fields to apply for one of the two 2017 André Schroeder Research Prizes. Submissions for the awards, which are presented annually by the ITI, will be accepted online via the ITI website until September 15, 2016.
For more than 20 years, the André Schroeder Research Prize has been awarded to independent researchers with the aim of promoting new scientific findings in implant dentistry, oral tissue regeneration and related fields. The award is presented in honor of Professor André Schroeder, the founding ITI president, who pioneered implant dentistry and whose lifework contributed significantly to modern dentistry. The ITI awards two André Schroeder Research Prizes, one for preclinical research and the other for clinical research. The winners will be selected by the ITI Research Committee, which is made up of internationally renowned specialists in implant dentistry from all over the world. The award winners will each receive CHF 10,000 as well as a trip to the official award ceremony that will be held during the ITI World Symposium in Basel, Switzerland, taking place from May 4-6, 2017.
More information as well as the terms and conditions of participation and the application form are available at http://www.iti.org/Andre-Schroeder-Research-Prize.
