The best consumer products of 2018

Australian shoppers have had their voices counted and the most innovative new products of 2018 have been revealed in the 9th annual Product of the Year Awards.

Independent research company Nielsen conducted the consumer research with over 13,000 Australians. Philips Sonicare DiamondClean Rose Gold Electric Toothbrush won the Oral Healthcare category. Consumers liked that the Sonicare DiamondClean delivers a whiter smile in 1 week with its DiamondClean brush head, removes up to 7x more plaque, improves gum health in just 2 weeks, provides a superior clean and the ablity to choose from 5 modes including Polish and Sensitive. The DiamondClean's angled neck helps tackle cleaning in tough areas and its unique technology gives a powerful yet gentle clean. The USB charging travel case, charging glass and timers encouraging 2 minutes of brushing were also noted. Product of the Year Director, Sarah Connelly, said "Winning Product of the Year is a huge stamp of approval from the Australian public. Shoppers can be confident when they are buying products - whether it be fresh food, beauty items or larger purchases such as electric toothbrushes - that all the guess work has already been taken out by shoppers just like themselves."
