The Air-Flow 3.0 Handys from EMS: A new standard in efficiency, flexibility, ergonomics and design

New Products

Electro Medical Systems' new range of elegantly designed and ergonomic handys meets the highest standards of professional tooth cleaning over the entire spectrum from subgingival to supragingival treatment. With the new Air-Flow® handy 3.0 and 3.0 Perio, modern dental practice is optimally equipped for any clinical situation. Each of the two Air-Polishing devices has a defined clinical positioning and has been equipped with powder chambers that are treatment-specific.

For every clinical application the optimum solution

With its two interchangeable handpieces and its powder chamber specially designed for fine and ultra-fine powders, the Air-Flow® handy 3.0 Perio is the ultimate solution for both sub- and supragingival applications. The Air-Flow® Perio handpiece with its tried and tested Perio-Flow nozzle comes into operation for the safe and gentle removal of biofilm from deep pockets. With the Air-Flow® Plus handpiece, the new handy 3.0 Perio simply and rapidly cleans the subgingival border and makes the transition to supragingival pleasant and as easy as child's play. In order to fully exploit the potential of the new handy 3.0 Perio, EMS has also developed the appropriate powder for both subgingival and supragingival applications with its Powder Plus. This unique combination of device and powder provides the dental professional with the ideal solution for the entire treatment spectrum, at the same time as ensuring comfort and absolute safety during treatment.

The second new device, Air-Flow® handy 3.0, is the expert for conventional prophylaxis. Together with the traditional large-grain powders it is the ideal partner for all supragingival applications such as plaque and stain removal as well as polishing.

Modern, high-quality and high-performance

Aesthetics remains a central theme at EMS. "Both of our new Air-Flow® handys have been developed around the central objective of providing dentists with unparalleled comfort at work. This is particularly reflected in the new, elegant design. Slim curves, a concentration on the smallest details and the noble white colour convey a contemporary, high-quality and high-performance feel to practitioner and patient alike," according to Mikael Bonora, Product Manager for the Air-Flow range at EMS Electro Medical Systems.

Handpieces and powder chambers optimized

During development, EMS questioned many users and worked closely with a team of ergonomics experts to optimize the handpieces and powder chambers. The slimmer shape of the handpieces makes them easier to grip and rotate, at the same time as sparing the wrist. The new position of the powder chambers ensures an unrestricted view of the patient's mouth. In addition, the chambers can be easily opened and cleanly and rapidly filled with the elegant "Easy Fill" accessory. The new, all-purpose Air-Flow handys are ideal for extensive daily use.
