Stoneglass appoints Marketing & Business Development

Stoneglass Industries has appointed Mr Steve Plakotaris to the role of Marketing & Business Development Manager to help drive local and international growth.

With a strong marketing and management background working with global brands like Diet Coke, Gatorade, ACP and Aussie Home Loans, Mr Plakotaris is well placed to level the playing field nationally and also support Stoneglass's growing international business aspirations. While the international marketing side of the Stoneglass business is part of Mr Plakotaris' portfolio, he is foremost tasked to drive Australia/New Zealand marketing and sales. Stoneglass is Mr Plakotaris' first foray into the dental industry which is just the way CEO Georges Sara wanted it. "I wanted someone who could and would bring a totally fresh approach to why and how we communicate with our labs and soon direct to the dentist," Mr Sara said. "Steve has spent 20 years on both the agency and client side of trade and consumer marketing, having run his own agency and companies here in Australia and abroad. He more recently had been guiding the marketing and sales efforts for Bantex, Australia's second largest B2B wholesale supplier of Office Products and building a start-up Australian cosmetics firm."
