The SMS Neoss Conference was held at the beautiful Palazzo Versace Hotel on the Gold Coast in May and hosted seven international speakers - including Lars Sennerby (Sweden); Nobert Hassfurther (Germany); Chris Salierno (USA); Lloyd Searson (UK) and Peter Clarke and Rob Aitken (both from New Zealand) - together with Neil Meredith, Keith Doonan, Adrian Hoffman and Russell Young from Australia.
The conference was attended by over 120 delegates from all over Australia, New Zealand and the US West Coast who enjoyed two full days of presentations accompanied by a trade display from various companies including 3M ESPE, NSK, TrollDental, Investec, Pacific Dental Specialties, Osteon Medical, Omega Ceramics, Werner Sauer Oral Design and Software of Excellence.
In addition, the welcome Cocktail Party was held at Movie World where the speed and thrills of the Batman rollercoaster were enjoyed by many adrenalin junkies!
John Divitini, Managing Director of Neoss Australia, said "the overall feedback from our delegates has been overwhelming positive, with many stating that is was the best conference they had ever attended. What was most impressive for us was the numerous comments we received about the overall positive 'feeling' throughout the conference from delegates and the
participating trade.
"By the time 4.00pm comes around on the Saturday afternoon of a beautiful clear blue autumn day and every one of 120+ delegates are still sitting in the auditorium, then you know that your speakers have delivered and the conference has been a success!"
Dr Andre Viljoen from Canberra said: "Congratulations on a fantastic conference! This was one of the best meetings that I've attended for years. The calibre of the speakers was outstanding and there was a great 'feel' to the meeting."
"Thank you Neoss for your fantastic 2012 Conference," said Dr Rob Saltmiras from Townsville. "Great venue, great speakers, great products, great offers... always a pleasure to deal with Neoss."
"The recent SMS Neoss meeting at the Gold Coast provided a wealth of evidence-based information from vastly experienced operators and the new breed of lecturers alike," said Dr Jeff Mount from Hobart. "The meeting showed once again that Neoss stands for 'Science, Simplicity and Service' - the keys to your Implant Success."
"Many congratulations on the success of the recent conference that has set the benchmark for implant meetings in the future. It was a beautifully balanced scientific programme with extremely well-chosen eminent speakers and a very professional and relevant trade show," said Dr Colin Priestland from Townsville. "The meeting was better than the vast majority of implant events I have attended internationally. Your staff were a great credit to Neoss, looking professional and representing the company superbly. I am proud to be associated with Neoss."
"I found it an excellent conference - great venue, good range of surgical and restorative lectures and very practical application of topics covered. The presenters were both entertaining and expert," said Dr Wojciech Bilski from Byron Bay. "Congratulations on a fantastic event!"
