Sirona cooperates with Dentsply and VDW to position TENEO as ideal treatment centre for endodontics

Sirona Dental Systems has signed an agreement with both Dentsply Maillefer and VDW for integration of endodontic instruments into its treatment centers. The initial results of this cooperation sees the leading reciprocating file systems WAVEONE® and RECIPROC® available in the TENEO treatment center for the very first time.

TENEO a real endo expert

Treatment centers by Sirona are renowned for optimum comfort and maximum treatment efficiency. To optimize treatment workflows, the TENEO treatment center includes many integrated functions, which normally require additional devices, a foot control or special treatment rooms.

TENEO is equipped with an array of special features for endodontics and implantology to provide an optimized, ergonomic workflow. For example, the endodontics function includes a comprehensive file library and can accept the addition of an ApexLocator. Never before have the reciprocal file systems from VDW (RECIPROC) and Dentsply Maillefer (WAVEONE) been integrated in a treatment center's file library and these are now available in TENEO. This new function is also displayed in the TENEO user interface and can be easily controlled with the center foot control.

Another decisive advantage is that it is no longer necessary to spend valuable time setting up and cleaning another tabletop unit. This helps to make the treatment workflow efficient and smooth. The workflow is further enhanced with a handy, hygienic holder for the ApexLocator right at the dentist element. The new ENDO contra-angle handpiece with LED light can optionally be included with the treatment center. This enables improved visibility of the treatment area and further enhances operator confidence.

Treatment center as a highly integrated system

The integrated USB interface enables technological innovations of the future to be retrofitted as well, such as additional file libraries and software updates. Also remote diagnostics can be run to carry out an error analysis if a fault should arise.
