Seminar on Indigenous oral health

Indigenous Health Events

Filling the Gap will be holding a seminar on Indigenous oral health to coincide with the ADX on Friday, March 28 from 4-6pm at the offices of Prime Practice at Level 1, 4-10 Bay St Double Bay.

The seminar will cover the demographic profile of Indigenous Australia; and the epidemiological profile of Indigenous Australia, with a particular focus on oral health. Attendees will gain a deeper understanding of the historical and social factors that underpin the gap in health outcomes between Indigenous and non-Indigenous people. The seminar will also examine various strategies and programmes that can lead participants into thinking through actions that they, as health professionals in the field, can easily take to make a difference. The seminar will be presented by Professor Lisa Jackson Pulver from the University of New South Wales.
