Following the phenomenal success of Cool Mint Listerine PocketPaks, Pfizer has announced the expansion of its portable oral care strips range with the launch of new spearmint-flavoured strips called FreshBurst.
FreshBurst Listerine PocketPaks will complement the original Cool Mint strips, and with spearmint being the most popular gum and mints flavour in Australia, they are set to drive sales for retailers in the already flourishing new product category.
"Listerine PocketPaks has been one of the most successful products for 2003, and after only a few months in the market is the number one selling product in both the dental and portable breath fresheners categories," said Louise Chamberlain, Oral Care Category Manager, Pfizer. "The introduction of the FreshBurst flavour will add a new dimension to the range and will also continue to drive sales and category growth."
With its revolutionary 'strip' technology that dissolves instantly on the tongue to help kill the germs that cause bad breath, Listerine PocketPaks has defined a whole new market in portable oral care. The strip, a micro-thin film impregnated with the essential oil ingredients found in Listerine Mouthwash, lets consumers take mouthwash out of the bathroom, providing them with a clean mouth feeling anytime, anywhere.
As with Cool Mint Listerine PocketPaks, the launch of FreshBurst will be heavily supported with a multi-media advertising campaign, a targeted PR campaign and mass product sampling.
FreshBurst Listerine PocketPaks will be available in grocery stores, pharmacies, convenience stores and petrol stations from August 11, 2003 and will be priced from $2.59 for a pack of 24.
