Planmeca chooses TrollByte sensor holder

TrollDental has designed a sensor holder for the new Planmeca intraoral sensor system, Planmeca ProSensor. TrollDental CEO Mr Jan Westerlund said, “We have put a lot of effort in the development of a sensor holder that lets you take perfect images every time.

The construction and design of the holder were made in close collaboration with dental professionals”. Extensive testing has been conducted to meet three major demands: It has to be easy to use - TrollByte Plus is designed in one piece. There are three holders for a full mouth survey. Each one is colour coded for easy identification, not only for image type, but also for sensor size #2, #1 and #0; Easy determination of sensor positioning in the patient’s mouth - The aiming pins on the holder shows the position of the sensor for bitewing images. One aiming ring is used for all three holders. The colour coding of the ring matches the colour of the holder, making it easy and quick to set up; and Image quality - The sleek design of TrollByte Plus lets the dentist take excellent images in hard to reach areas without sacrificing the comfort of the patient. According to Mr Jukka Kanerva, Product Development Engineer at Planmeca: “We are really pleased that we can provide our customers with the TrollByte Plus sensor holder together with the new ProSensor system. Planmeca ProSensor is a unique combination of high-end patient centric design, usability, and durability, assuring smooth workflow and patient safety. It is essential that the sensor holder matches these high standards.”
