Nobel Biocare launched the new NobelPerfect™ implant at FDI Sydney 2003, a revolutionary new "scalloped" profile, tapered body implant indicated for cases where a patient has missing teeth in the aesthetic zone.
The new product has been engineered to support the interproximal bone ridge and make natural soft tissue contours possible for the first time with dental implants. The result is optimal aesthetics with patient-pleasing, beautiful papillae.
All NobelPerfect implants provide the unique TiUnite™ surface, a uniquely enhanced titanium oxide layer that optimises osseointegration and provides superior stabilization. The US Food and Drug Administration has also cleared NobelPerfect for Immediate Function.
NobelPerfect can be used in all positions with scalloped bone anatomy but the primary advantage is in the premolar-to-premolar region for single or multiple units.
The implants are available in 3.5mm, 4.3mm and 5.0mm diameters and lengths of 10mm, 13mm and 16mm. Straight and angled titanium abutments and NobelPerfect ceramic abutments are available.
Nobel Biocare also launched the Procera ® Piccolo at FDI. The Piccolo is aimed at small to medium-sized dental laboratories who want to scan models for CAD/CAM restoration manufacture using Nobel Biocare's popular Procera system.
NobelPerfect and Procera Piccolo are part of Nobel Biocare's C&B&I (Crown & Bridge & Implants) system.
