On the road with Dental4Windows

The Dental4Windows Roadshow team comprising of Centaur, ANZ Health, Prime Practice, Great Dental Websites and Certegy Ezi-Pay criss-crossed Australia recently, visiting 8 locations from Brisbane to Melbourne and west to Perth to deliver strategies to improve patient experience to dental practices. Over 500 practice staff and clinicians listened to a range of industry leading speakers engage the audience in methods to reduce the "experience gap" - the perception difference on delivery of customer experience between owner/operator of businesses and that of their actual customers.


Discussed was how Dental4Windows (D4W), using both its own and partner solutions, can deliver a better patient experience in all aspects leading up to the dental appointment, the actual appointment and post appointment. Discussions focussed on automating processes, delivery of services online, better ways to market to your existing patients and how to attract new patients.

Centaur, the developer of Dental4Windows, is actively integrating a range of solutions that will allow its customer to deliver to patients improved methods to engage with their practices. These solutions are being developed by Centaur and also through the Centaur Partnership Network. Relevant solutions, developed by partners, are being integrated with D4W to provide added services and products to practices.

At the D4W Roadshow, partners and Centaur discussed solutions that would enable D4W customers to deliver a more enhanced patient experience. This included ANZ HealthPay Plus, the new integrated solution that allows practices to process Medicare and private health fund claims and payments. It's now integrated with D4W, meaning practices can now experience a seamless workflow, providing a 5-star payment and claiming experience.

Great Dental Websites discussed their specially designed and functional dental websites and provided 8 actions to improve the digital patient experience. This included enhanced search strategies and how to make that 14 second window you have on your website to impress, effective.

Prime Practice discussed price wars, a tough economic climate, staff turnover, the impact of online reviews, increasing competition and the rise of corporates are all facets making it more challenging for dental practices to hold onto patients for life.

Practices these days are putting a lot of time, energy and money into attracting patients through the front door. So, when patients walk out the back door, it's a painful "break-up" for the practice.

Prime Practice provided strategies to keep and maintain long-term patient relationships. Understanding the difference between the human brain processes of dentists and patients provided a lesson in differences in attitude. Using the analogous stages of the "dating game" provided lessons dentists could relate to.

Centaur launched new D4W Marketing, an online portal integrated with Dental4Windows that opens up practices to a new world of patient communication. D4W Marketing provides easy personalised campaigns - including email templates, mailing pieces and formatted letters, all with high quality images and postage included. Also discussed was how being relevant to today's patients through online bookings and online patient forms, available integrated with D4W, was important.
