OccluSense® by Bausch wins Cellerant 2019 Best of Class Technology Award

About the Bausch company and Occlusense

Since 1953, Dr. Jean Bausch GmbH & Co. KG has specialised in the manufacture of special articulating - occlusion test materials designed to represent occlusal proportions on the masticatory surfaces as true to nature as possible. The new system, OccluSense, developed by Bausch, combines the traditional and digital registration of the pressure distribution on occlusal surfaces. The OccluSense device is being used in combination with a 60 microns thin single-use pressure sensor colour coated in red, which is being applied exactly like a conventional occlusion test foil. The patient's masticatory pressure distribution is being recorded digitally in 256 pressure levels and then transmitted to the OccluSense iPad App for further evaluation. The traditional colour transfer on the occlusal surfaces of the patient facilitates the assignment of the captured data. The recordings are being stored in the patient management system of the iPad app and can be reviewed or exported any time.
