Nobel Biocare will stage a series of 17 training and education conferences as part of its World Tour 2006 offering the company's progressive continuing and post-graduate education to dental professionals worldwide.
The Tour will traverse six continents over a nine month period and include an eclectic mix of presenters.
"The Nobel Biocare World Tour 2006 is a unique opportunity for the profession to join forces with the patient as its central focus," said Heliane Canepa, President and CEO of Nobel Biocare. "It's a groundbreaking forum for dental professionals to learn from their colleagues how our scientifically-based innovations enable them to respond to the increased patient awareness of, and demand for, high end cosmetic, implant and restorative solutions."
The Nobel Biocare World Tour 2006 will bring together world-leading experts in implant and aesthetic dentistry with local experts and conference attendees to share their knowledge in state-of-the-art patient treatments. Live cases transmitted via satellite, including implant surgeries and aesthetic restorations, will demonstrate the latest preferred patient treatment options. Additionally, hands-on and in-depth training for all levels of dental professionals will be included.
Nobel Biocare will also present the latest research and clinical findings from its pipeline of products and solutions. Each conference will include an update on the company's research into the development of a bone inductive implant based upon the TiUnite™ technology and the Bone Morphogenetic Protein-2 (rhBMP-2). This new technology has the potential to dramatically reduce, or even eliminate, the need for invasive and time-consuming bone grafting procedures.
The World Tour 2006 kicks off March 9 in Frankfurt, Germany and concludes in November 18 in Barcelona, Spain. The local event will be staged in Sydney, August 2 - 4, 2006.
