Nobel Biocare Australia has created a unique modular mentorship program as the centrepiece of its implant education for clinicians in 2020 beginning on March 26.
"We're excited to be able to offer a whole new level of implant training for Australian dentists," said Gauri Bhalla, Marketing, Training & Education Manager at Nobel Biocare Australia. "We have always been the leader in clinical education and now we're taking it to the next level by helping customers bridge the gap between the training we provide and the practical application of those skills in the clinician's own practice by making mentorship part of the program.
"Mentoring is well proven as a way for dentists to build their clinical skills. With the many changes to the way dentistry is practised today, however, some clinicians cannot easily establish relationships with skilled clinicians willing to become a mentor.
"At Nobel Biocare, we both recognise this dilemma and the overall power of mentoring so we have incorporated it into our core clinical education program for 2020."
The Nobel Biocare Mentorship Program 2020 incorporates four 3-day workshops spread throughout the year delivered by skilled implant clinicians and educators Dr David Jones, Dr Ben Lee, Dr Andrei Tutoveanu and Dr Michael Walker at the Nobel Biocare Training Centre, Macquarie Park, Sydney.
In between each module, participants will have access to one-on-one mentoring with the presenters.
"The new Nobel Biocare Mentorship Program has been developed in response to our customers needs and we encourage all dentists wanting to upskill their clinical skills in implants to take part," Ms Bhalla said.
