nib and Pacific Smiles Group open new Sydney Dental and Eye Care Centre

nib health funds limited (nib) has opened the doors to its latest Dental and Eye Care Centre located in the Sydney CBD.

Owned and operated by Pacific Smiles Group (PSG), the 18-chair dental practice provides a comprehensive range of dental care services, including speciality services such as orthodontics, endodontics, periodontics, prosthodontics and oral surgery. The surgery also features an on-site Digital OPG, a 3D Conebeam CT, plus an operating microscope and a surgery set-up for IV sedation procedures.

Co-located at the centre is the nib Eye Care Centre, which is owned and operated by The Optical Company.

More than 70 guests attended the official opening of the new-look Hunter Street centre on 3 May 2012.

Speaking at the official opening, nib Chairman, Mr Steve Crane, said that as one of Australia's fastest growing health funds, nib had experienced growing customer demand for dental and eye care services in the Sydney CBD.

"This flagship facility will allow nib to better cater for our customers' need for dental and eye care services in the city. It provides them with access to quality, affordable dental and optical service in an easily accessible location," Mr Crane said.

Mr Crane also spoke of the important relationship that nib had developed with PSG to provide quality dental services.

"nib launched the relationship with PSG back in 2004, when they took over the operation of our dental centres. It was a partnership that made sense back then and continues to today," Mr Crane said.

PSG owns and operates six nib Dental Care Centres and 25 Pacific Smiles Dental Care Centres throughout New South Wales, Victoria, the ACT and Queensland.
