Queensland-based dental equipment supplier, Gardiner Dental Depot, has changed hands and is now owned and managed by two enterprising service technicians. "We're proud to takeover one of the industry icons and to keep the only Queensland-owned and operated A-dec dealer in the state," said new owner Charles North.
Mr North and co-owner Mark Czerniawski started in partnership midway through 2001 after retiring from the Australian Army following 20 years service; the majority of their military careers were involved in the repair and maintenance of equipment.
Their original company, MEA Dental, has grown since its inception to become an important member of the dental repair industry in Queensland.
According to Mr North, they have developed a small but loyal band of customers by offering quality repairs at affordable prices.
"We have always offered repair and maintenance of the complete range of dental equipment including chairs, autoclaves, x-rays, handpieces and all other ancillary equipment. With the purchase of Gardiner Dental Depot, we can now offer a comprehensive sales service as well to all our Queensland and Northern New South Wales customers."
The Gardiner Dental Depot name will remain, however the business will be moving into bigger and better premises at Unit 7, 43-49 Sandgate Road, Albion, as of July 1.
Former proprietor, Mr Brian Gardiner, sold the business after being offered the position of Queensland and Western Australian Territory Manager for A-dec Australia.
"We're very excited about this new venture," Mr North said. "And we invite all our customers to drop in and say hello. The kettle will be on and you can check out the latest equipment from some of Australia's favourite brands including A-dec, W&H, EMS, Jun-Air, Sopro and Cattani."
