New online discussion forums now available

Websites Dental Community Internet

The www.dentalcommunity.com.au website has added a new discussion forums module that allows groups of dental practitioners to discuss information online in a structured framework.

Forums are popular because they allow questions to be asked and problems presented for comment by like-minded people with the aim of finding a solution based on shared experiences and existing knowledge. One of the best features of an online forum is that a topic can be discussed rapidly, tapping into first hand experience and information not readily accessible elsewhere. There are many highly knowledgeable and experienced practitioners not involved in training or educating other practitioners, for example and forums are a great way to tap into this knowledge in response to specific situations. If you would like to participate in a discussion group, please email us to receive a login and instructions on how to access and participate in the discussion forums. You will be added to an Auxiliary discussion group and each time a new topic is posted, you will be emailed and can then join the discussion at any time. In addition, you can host your own completely private discussions amongst your own group through the website if desired. If you want to join in, please email us.
