Nobel Biocare has added a new online service via its website to aid dental professionals searching for related references to aid in research, authoring, lecture preparation, education and more.
"Nobel Biocare has a long tradition of performing and participating in scientifically-based studies," said Mike Covey, Nobel Biocare Regional Director for Australia and New Zealand. "Research and development goes beyond meeting the minimum level for product registration and safety required by regulatory authorities. With over 1,827 clinical publications, Nobel Biocare is leading the industry in clinical and scientifically-based studies.
"Nobel Biocare works in close collaboration with researchers, renowned specialists and dentists around the world who share their clinical experiences, thus ensuring the sound clinical basis of products and concepts."
Mr Covey said the Company's strong commitment to dental professionals and patients means that new products are followed in prospective clinical studies. These studies, typically running for several years, are designed to demonstrate even greater product efficacy, enabling Nobel Biocare to make these solutions available to a wider range of patients. In most cases, the studies are performed as multi-centre studies, which include universities and private practitioners worldwide.
The Reference Search is available as a menu option on the Nobel Biocare home page located at www.nobelbiocare.com. The Reference Search has more than 10,000 references to dental related topics and abstracts can subsequently be ordered, again via the site. Search criteria includes Author, Title, Publication, ISSN/ISBN and keywords.
