New Mocom Supreme top of the range steriliser focuses on ease of use and water conservation

Mocom stunned visitors to this year's IDS 2019 in Cologne, Germany, with its new Supreme steam steriliser that features sleek lines, a built-in video screen that tutors you in how to use and maintain the system and innovative water treatment, using water from the tap and continually recycling it.

"Given the success of the Mocom Futura and Classic ranges, it was always going to be interesting to see how you can improve on perfection, but they definitely have," said Jim Owen, Sales Relationship Manager for Mocom Australia.

"It was exciting to see the interest in the Mocom Supreme during IDS and we are seeing a similar 'buzz' now that it is available in Australia and New Zealand too. It really has the WOW factor about it.

"The way the Supreme filters tap water and recycles it in the following cycles is both efficient and solves all issues relating to demineralised water storage and supply," Mr Owen said.

"The Supreme is also backed by a 3-year or 3000 cycle warranty, whichever comes first, another first from Mocom.

"Mocom now caters to the needs and budget of every dental practice with the Classic, Futura and Supreme ranges."

Operating principle

Unlike traditional sterilisers, the Supreme does not require any external water connection for mains water treatment. Thanks to the demineralisation filter on the main tank, the user can fill the latter with plain tap water, thereby saving space, streamlining processes and achieving considerable cost savings. Supreme's different filtration systems guarantee unprecedented ease of operation.

Water treatment

The nano-ceramic recirculation filter, incorporated into the secondary tank, makes it possible to distil and purify water so that it can be reused in the following sterilisation cycle. The built-in conductivity sensor ensures compliance with water quality parameters as it protects the machine's internal components from excess lime. Total consumption is 5 litres per 50 cycles, meaning approximately 100 ml/cycle, a real revolution.

Advanced connectivity

At the end of each sterilisation cycle, the machine saves a report to its internal memory. The user can download the cycle data in PDF format at any time through the USB port or automatically store it in the Cloud using the in-built WiFi and Di.V.A. system.

Di.V.A.

Di.V.A. stands for Digital Virtual Assistant. It is the first cloud-based control and traceability system for MOCOM sterilisation devices. Once saved, data will be available for operators by accessing a dedicated web page. Di.V.A. allows you to:

  • Get access to tutorial videos;
  • Display the executed cycles;
  • Check machine efficiency and status;
  • Read the machine usage statistics; and
  • Monitor the frequency of sterilisation tests.

Remote technical support with Easy Check

All sterilisers in the Supreme range are equipped with WiFi and an Ethernet port. Once connected to the Internet by enabling the Easy Check service, remote support can be received. Downtime times can be significantly reduced by allowing technicians access to keep machines constantly maintained.

Printers

Supreme offers two printing options: An external printer that generates reports or bar code labels; or a wireless network printer that can be used simultaneously on multiple sterilisers for reports, simple labels or bar code labels.

Traceability software

MyTrace is Cefla's traceability software supplied with the Supreme. By using this MyTrace, each set of sterilised instruments can be linked to an individual patient through a bar code to facilitate critical instrument tracking.

Ease of use

The 7" touch screen is as user-friendly as a tablet. Its performance and the research carried out to develop the user interface make the steriliser simple and ready-to-use. Supreme's video tutorials and light indicators turn it into a unique steriliser.

NFC - Near Field Communication

Through NFC, Supreme improves the assistant's workflow. Instead of entering a PIN code, assistants will be able to register themselves by simply placing a special user card, provided with the machine, near the display. By activating the user ID, access to the machine's functions will be allowed for authorised personnel only.

Light communication

Supreme can also communicate through colours. A built-in LED bar in the door provides immediate information to the user about the machine's status, changing colours according to the different work phases. The user will be able to understand at a glance the current process phase of the steriliser, even at a distance.

Video tutorial

Through its colour display, Supreme provides video tutorials and important information for using and maintaining the machine. Everything is explained in simple videos: from information about load positioning to instructions for filter replacement. A personal assistant providing support to all operators!
