The new look Dentevents website is now online, enabling dental technicians and dental prosthetists to find information on every dental event in the country in one place.
The new website can be found at www.dentevents.com.
"We're very excited to launch the new Dentevents website," said Joseph Allbeury, publisher of Dentevents as well as Auxiliary magazine. "We've put a lot of time and energy into creating something completely different to any other dental events website and concentrated on making it highly functional and very easy to use."
The new website utilises a responsive design framework that will ensure it can be viewed on everything from your smartphone and tablet to your desktop PC. The site also features three different types of event listings - from Express for events where limited information is available; to Standard that includes details of the event linked to Speaker, Organiser and Venue Profiles; to a paid Premium listing designed for events running over multiple days with multiple streams and speakers.
"We have literally tried to incorporate every eventuality into the design of the site to make finding out information about an event to match your needs as simple as possible. There will also be some new features added to the site that we are still finalising in coming weeks and months and we're also happy to hear feedback and suggestions on how to make the site even better."
Mr Allbeury said that a key way to ensure the new website will be well used is to make it as comprehensive as possible.
"As with all our websites, there is no charge to list your event on Dentevents using the Express or Standard listings. In this way, it ensures that the site is as comprehensive as possible and thereby creates a very valuable resource.
"We also offer a range of cost-effective options to help you make your event more prominent if required including the Premium listings and regular adverts."
Mr Allbeury said that for the launch of the website, his team has worked with event organisers across Australia and New Zealand to load as many events onto the calendar as possible.
"We have events from dedicated event organisers, the dental industry, dental associations and the universities and are adding more on a daily basis.
"In coming weeks, we will also launch a suite of tools to allow event organisers to self-manage their events to both reduce the administrative burden for my team as well as ensuring as many events as possible are loaded and accurately maintained.
"If there is any kind of post-graduate education, event or trade show being held in Australia or New Zealand, then we want to know about it and we want it listed on the calendar."
Dental Community intergration
The Dentevents homepage includes a login panel for the Dental Community. Logging in once identifies you to the website and allows you to then save events using the "My Events" list.
Speakers at events can also update their biographies through the existing Dental Community website located at www.dentalcommunity.com.au.
In addition, Event Organisers and Event Venues can update their information online using the Dental Community website at any time.
In coming weeks, updating information on the event itself will also be enabled within the Dental Community website.
