Meeting users' needs: Dentsply Sirona releases Sidexis 4 V 4.3 and updates Orthophos SL

Providing imaging solutions that fulfill the practical requirements of dental practices and clinics - this ambitious demand inspired the release of Sidexis 4 V 4.3 as well as updates to the Orthophos SL software. Both updates have already been released. "The well-rounded features of the latest updates to Sidexis 4 and the Orthophos SL cover the whole scope of imaging functionalities that are essential for dentists and their teams", explains Jörg Haist, Director Product Management for Imaging Systems at Dentsply Sirona.

Enhanced performance saves time

Dentists save time thanks to the optimized performance of Sidexis 4 V 4.3 and the reduced image visualization time of 3D. Both, Sidexis 4 V 4.3 and the images load faster and thus operate quicker. Also, it is finally possible to delete patients' data and images. Unnecessary files - such as those beyond the duty to preserve records - can be eliminated, which optimizes memory space. Other improved performance features support collaborative working. For example, the multi-station display of Sidexis 4 V 4.3 now enables users to work on the same image at different work stations at the same time. In addition, the simplified installation of the Sidexis 4 V 4.3 Viewer makes it easier to share images with referals in other practices. Being able to delete patients' data and images is another feature that comes with the update.

Strong focus on image quality and functionality

Both new versions focus on high-quality image aspects. Besides the enhanced 3D image quality of Orthophos SL, Sidexis 4 V 4.3 now offers several refined image functions:

• 3D endo layout for easier endodontic analysis,
• STL import and
• New image filters - for example to invert the images' color.

Exposure rescue - always on the safe side

The latest Orthophos SL software release includes the appreciated exposure rescue within the image acquisition workflow. Should the connection between Orthophos SL and work station be interrupted during image transmission, the dental practice's team can easily recover image data.

Clinic integration and easy handling

Other features of the updates address the needs of dental clinics and technicians. The Sidexis 4 V 4.3 readiness for Sidicom QR is a particular new advantage for dental clinics as they can now integrate both systems. Moreover, with Orthophos SL, technicians will experience several simplifications such as a shorter calibration time reduced by up to 20 per cent.
