Mediview wins prestigious Australian Design Award for 2003

Following critical acclaim for the revolutionary MediView frames for Keeler loupes created by Australian optical frame designer, Martin Hogan, the product has now won an Australian Design Award. MediView, according to Mr Hogan, is the most comfortable loupe frame available in Australia or the world.

"Put simply, I took a pair of Keeler loupes and designed a frame around them," said Mr Hogan, "rather than adapting a spectacle frame to carry loupes. The secret is in weight distribution. What I have achieved with the MediView has moved the weight away from the bridge and distributed it to other points of contact not available on standard frames."

Using patented rare earth magnet technology, the MediView has many different functions. Most important to the dental community being magnification and illumination. Loupes and lights can be used in conjunction or individually. The use of the magnet technology makes it very easy to add and change between these optical appliances.
