MasterChef and Dentist Matthew Hopcraft to keynote RGC2K16

RGC2K16 is excited to welcome Dr Matthew Hopcraft to the keynote lineup for the Recent Grads Conference this August 12-13, 2016 in Surfers Paradise, Gold Coast.

Matthew will share insights, inspiration and reflections with the delegates on the importance of having a work-life balance and the different pathways open in dentistry.

After graduation, Dr Hopcraft worked in the Army and public and private dental practices. He spent 12 years as an academic at the University of Melbourne and completed a Doctor of Philosophy in dental public health. He was the President of the Australian Dental Association (Victoria) in 2010-11 and continues to work closely in the profession to promote good oral health.

Most interestingly, he was a contestant in Season 7 of MasterChef Australia, where he finished 6th. He was fortunate to cook for some of the best chefs in the world, including Heston Blumenthal, Marco Pierre White, Massimo Bottura, Rick Stein, Shannon Bennett and Janice Wong.

Apart from a keynot address, Matthew will also be holding a Masterclass live cooking demonstration at RGC2K16!
