Around 250 participants from five continents have so far registered to compete for the IPS e.max Smile Award 2016. The contest, which was launched in October, is now entering a decisive phase. All the submissions have to be completed by 28 February.
Only teams consisting of a dentist and a dental technician are eligible to compete - register at www.ipsemax.com/smileaward where you will receive login credentials. The teams have to submit a project on which they have collaborated. The restoration should include at least six units. The case must be fully documented from beginning to end with photos and a video. This will allow the panel of experts to obtain a realistic overall impression of the project.
The panel of noted international judges will assess all the entries with regard to their aesthetic characteristics, complexity and suitability for the case presented. The awards will be presented on 10 June 2016 in Madrid, Spain, on the eve of the International Expert Symposium organized by Ivoclar Vivadent.
In order to judge the entries fairly, the three best teams from the following four regions will be selected to win the IPS e.max Smile Award 2016: Europe - Middle East - Africa; North America - Pacific; Latin America; and Asia.
The work of the winners will subsequently be presented publicly through social media, at trade shows and other events and in professional journals.
