Listerine with fluoride in the New Year

The latest in the Listerine range of antiseptic mouthwashes, Listerine Teeth Defence, was previewed to the dental profession at FDI.

The new product, due for release in early 2004, is the first in the range to include fluoride. The unique combination of Listerine's four essential oils plus fluoride provides an effective triple effect: An anti-plaque action helps reduce plaque acids which are a major cause of enamel demineralisation; plaque control results in a reduction of toxins harmful to the gingiva; and fluoride in the formulation promotes enamel remineralisation.
