The major winner of the W&H "Cycle More to Win" competition, North Ringwood Dental Group in Melbourne, says it's thrilled with its new Lisa VA steriliser provided by A-dec Australia. The new model W&H Lisa VA was the major prize in a competition open to dental practices Australia-wide which submitted their steriliser cycle counts, with the highest cycle count submitted being named winner of the major prize.
North Ringwood Dental Group is a very busy general dental practice with four dentists - Dr Roland Faktor, Dr Chris Harris, Dr Uyen Tran and Dr Ariel Zhang - three of which are on duty on any given day.
North Ringwood Dental Group Practice Manager, Natalie Ting, said the new Lisa technology with its fast B Class Cycles, "Eco Dry" mode and wireless capability was put to work straight away to replace an older chamber type steriliser.
"We are loving its speed! The pouches are always dry and the refilling is super easy thanks to the built in funnel," Ms Ting said. "We love that it 'sings' to us (with chimes for various functions) and that the unit is so easy to use!
"Other sterilizers do not compare to the Lisa at all. Its efficiency alone makes it a winner in all the team's eyes."
Prior to receiving the new Lisa steriliser, North Ringwood Dental Group was using another brand of chamber sterilizer that was immediately retired from duty. "Lisa is far superior with its new technology," Ms Ting said.
The new Lisa steriliser offers a simple touchpad operation and advanced features, including automatic load sensing and Eco Dry technology, which greatly speeds cycle times for smaller loads.
Thanks to its streamlined colour touchpad with one-touch cycle selection, Lisa offers fast, simple and secure B+ sterilisation cycles. It also has the option of a "fast" cycle for processing unwrapped solid loads in as little as 13 minutes.
W&H Lisa is the only benchtop steriliser with a built-in air leak detector - ensuring all instruments whether pouched, wrapped or naked - are exposed to saturated steam each and every time.
The Lisa also has built-in wireless capability, enabling up to four Lisa sterilisers to be monitored on a tablet or Smartphone from anywhere in the practice.
Runner-up in the competition, Golden Grove Village Dental Centre, Golden Grove, South Australia, won a new model W&H "Lina" steriliser. The new Lina steriliser will be installed in their remodelled steriliser room following planned renovations.
