Levitch Design Associates has continued to strengthen its team with core architectural skills.
Since joining LDA, Glen McClelland has put his design skills to task on an interesting mix of commissions from large-scale commercial and tourism developments to luxury residential and landscape design projects. Currently, he is busy designing freestanding dental centres throughout Queensland and New South Wales. "On a 1000 square metre block, I can put up a building for 6-8 surgeries," he said. His experience prior to joining LDA has also been diverse. Since completing a Bachelor of Architecture in 1991, he has worked on the $7 million development of Lillianfels Hotel in Katoomba, Sydney's Green Square train station and an $8 million conversion of a heritage hotel into luxury apartments. "It's very important for us to maintain an eclectic mix of experience among our interior design and architectural teams", said Anne Levitch, Creative Director of LDA. "In having Architects such as Glen, who has worked on everything from enormous industrial spaces to restaurants, luxury hotels and anything in between, there's always a fresh approach on offer when we look at a new project. This is why we're consistently able to create the unique and highly-customised surgery designs we have built our business on".
