Kerr has now shipped more than a million tips for its innovative SonicFill composite system to customers in North America. The SonicFill composite system is a first-of-its-kind product that enables clinicians to perform posterior restorations with a fast, easy and reliable bulk fill technology using a sonic-activated handpiece.
SonicFill technology has been an outstanding success for Kerr since the day it was launched, exceeding projected expectations of shipments every step of the way. Immediately embraced by dental professionals, SonicFill achieved the one million tip sales mark a mere five months after entering the market, illustrating the dental community's endorsement of the technology and that such a system is an ideal fit for today's industry.
News of the million tips shipped follows close on the heels of Kerr's recent unveiling of a portfolio of scientific research pertaining to SonicFill. The research illustrates how SonicFill's easy-to-use bulk fill technology compares favourably with traditional composite material and placement techniques.
"We're extremely pleased with the positive reaction and quick adoption of our SonicFill technology," said Damien McDonald, Kerr's President. "The quick buy-in from the dental community and widespread belief in the protocol we've introduced have exceeded our expectations. It's gratifying to be able to present a new technology that is literally changing the way composites are placed."
