Robert Ganley, global CEO of Ivoclar Vivadent, has been named among dental technology's 10 most influential people according to US publication Inside Dental Technology, based on a poll of its readers.
Mr Ganley was nominated for being a visionary who truly transformed the dental technology landscape by innovating disruptive processes, technologies and products that altered the profession, readers said. Mr Ganley's leadership and passion for innovation has led to the development of premier all-ceramic restorative materials, including IPS e.max, as well as comprehensive digital solutions and processes for dental laboratories and practices to provide quality, aesthetic dentistry. Under Mr Ganley's direction, Ivoclar Vivadent has grown significantly and the company's products continuing to enable greater predictability, enhanced aesthetics and longer-lasting restorations. Mr Ganley earned an undergraduate degree in mathematics and a graduate degree in business administration and joined Ivoclar Vivadent in 1980. In 2003, he was appointed Chief Executive Officer of Ivoclar Vivadent AG in Schaan, Liechtenstein. In this position he is responsible for the worldwide business of Ivoclar Vivadent.
