International Dental Show (IDS) 2017: Career Day being staged again

More than 2,400 companies from about 60 countries are expected to attend the International Dental Show (IDS) in Cologne from 21 to 25 March 2017. Every two years, the IDS is the world's most important industry get-together for the international dental market. In 2015, the "Career Day" was staged in this setting for the first time. This initiative aims to accelerate the communication and information exchange between the companies exhibiting at the IDS and newcomers to the profession or people interested in a career in the dental sector. The event of the Association of German Dental Manufacturers e.V. (VDDI) and Koelnmesse went down very well with the exhibitors and visitors in 2015 and is thus being repeating again in 2017: In the Passage between Halls 4 and 5 on Saturday, 25 March 2017.

The "Career Day" at the IDS offers university graduates, trainees from the fields of dentistry and dental technology as well as pupils and school leavers who want to find out about training and career opportunities in the dental sector a first impression of the various spheres of activity of the participating companies. In addition, the "Career Day" offers fully-trained persons or career changers information about further training options and career opportunities in the dental sector.

The "Career Day" presents IDS exhibitors with the perfect opportunity to make presentations about professional training, further development and career advancement. On 25 March 2017, brief presentations to introduce your company can be booked on the "Career Day" stage. In addition, the "Recruitment Lounge" connected to the presentation area also offers facilities for individual meetings and presentations in discreetly partitioned areas. The event is being held for the first time on a spacious surface in the lit-flood Passage between Halls 4 and 5.

The "Career Day" has its own presence within the IDS homepage. You can easily arrange meetings with candidates and interested parties using the online scheduling facility, but spontaneous "speed-dating campaigns" are also possible. All exhibitors that are involved in the initiative will be named on the IDS homepage and will also be mentioned in a special printed flyer.

IDS (International Dental Show) takes place in Cologne every two years and is organised by the GFDI Gesellschaft zur Förderung der Dental-Industrie mbH, the commercial enterprise of the Association of German Dental Manufacturers (VDDI) and is staged by Koelnmesse GmbH, Cologne.

100 years of VDDI

The VDDI is celebrating its 100th anniversary in 2016. It was founded as the Association of German Dental Manufacturers on 24 June 1916 and organised the first Dental Show in 1923. In 1928 the VDDF organised the first International Dental Show.

Today, the VDDI has 200 member companies with 20,000 employees. The overall turnover is more than Euro 5 billion with an export share of 62 percent.
