Instruments for implant maintenance

Hu-Friedy has launched the new Implacare II range of instruments designed for use in implant maintenance.

Implacare is made of PLASTEEL, a high grade, unfilled resin that causes the least amount of alteration to implant abutment surfaces. Research has demonstrated the relationship between surface and peri-implant environmental alterations and the development of peri-implant mucositis and peri-implantitis. Implacare II features a 20% thinner tip design, allowing more effective access to implant abutment surfaces. Better access allows for more effective maintenance of implant abutment surfaces. New universal curette designs (Barnhart 5/6 and Langer 1/2) provide clinicians with additional choices for their armamentarium so that they can refine their instrument selection based on patient needs. A variety of interchangeable tip options can also be changed based on patient needs. The variety of working ends allows the clinician to easily select the appropriate tip to maximize implant debris removal.
