Dr David Dunn has introduced a program for general dentists wanting to learn more about implant dentistry and who either do not know where to begin or more importantly, do not want to do it alone.
The Implant Mentor Group consists of small, personal group meetings and provides hands on training designed to give you the skills to feel confident in your own practice. Some of the areas that are covered within this mentor group include: Treatment alternatives; Treatment planning and patient selection; Own case planning - Where do I start!; Surgical Techniques; Prosthetic Techniques; Hands on training - Surgical and restorative; Crown, bridge and Implant dentistry; New techniques and concepts; Immediate placement and immediate loading; Support staff training; Implant practice management for dentists and staff; Single tooth, partial and full edentulous case education; Study group to support program; 'On-call' support; and Nobel Biocare assistance with training materials and equipment.
Included in the Mentor Group program are support materials and training kits/jaws; 6 x 4-5hr meetings a year, including dinner; Special surgical/restorative packages from Nobel Biocare; and an ongoing support study group.
Nobel Biocare are a proud partner of Dr David Dunn's Implant Mentor Program, providing equipment throughout the group meetings plus providing nurse training courses for staff.
At the completion of this program, you can anticipate having the technical and practical skills to both diagnose and treatment plan implant cases. You will also have the confidence to undertake both surgical and restorative aspects of simple implant cases and to use these skills as your experience grows in order to undertake more complex cases.
